Description

This was my third visit to the Wahclella Falls Trail. It is a special place. Aside from the falls itself (which you can see in this photo), there is a beautiful creek, another smaller waterfall, giant boulders, a cave (unfortunately too low a ceiling for adults, but just right for my 9 year old grandson to explore), rocky hills to climb (if you want to), colorful wildflowers, lush ferns & beautiful trees dripping with moss. And it's an easy loop trail less than 2 miles long, with only modest inclines. It's on the Columbia River Gorge, right off exit 40 on interstate 84 (less than an hour from Portland). If you're in the area & haven't been there before, I highly recommend it...
