Description
this is the finished render straight from daz studio with no postwork except compression in gimp.
this is a slightly different image than from the teaser because after losing my render progress i set up the scene again from scratch and set the render quality a bit higher. total render time somewhere around nine hours. the effects in the scene are all created in cryengine2 editor by spawning particle effects against a black background. the image is then edited in gimp and cropped to a square. the image is then used as the diffuse and opacity texture for a primitive plane with the diffuse strength and specular set to zero and ambient set at 100 with white as the color. the effects are then rotated and moved into position at a trajectory that looks correct.
this scene is lit only by one ibl light with indirect lighting set at about 40%. more info can be provided by request.

Absolutely fantastic result ! Great use of alpha planes for fire/explosion effects. The crisp render is awesome, hard to believe it's out of daz Studio ! Stunning ! Another fav !
