Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.

Hmmm... is that Tara? Nice to have someone in the photo to show the vast scale of these trees. I wonder what brought the tree down? This looks so rich and lush it's very inviting to lie down in the greenery. Another beautiful photo, Bill. Keep it up! :-)

Oooh, Deep shade with a nice touch of blue. That shade of blue is so familiar. I think I saw it in Chicago! Nice to see familiar people in action, and what a shot this is. I have yet to visit the Redwoods and I really must! It looks so calm there, and I'm amazed at how open this is, even though its IN a forest! Such huge ferns too! Great!

(Anyone I know???) You've captured Tara positively cradled by the forest, down in an 'alcove' not only surrounded by those glorious massive tree trunks, but by the trunks lying on their sides---which appear almost as fences for the area, a safe haven. She's 'harmonized' by the tall tree behind her, by the tree right in front of her (I'm speaking of verticals now) and by that marvelous clump of 'tree stuff' that you included on the far right. (Great inclusion. I think it takes guts to include things like that, because on the surface they can appear messy.) She's wonderfully set apart, even if she's surrounded. And oh, those carpets of green again---what a great place to capture her, showing that the photographer picks his/her 'spots' for all that surrounds them, bathes them, supports them, etc. And the light & open space behind---a beautiful backdrop. Well, you're gonna have to go back to this place, that's all. Or buy one. (Or rent...) You're doing beautiful work here, and you seem to find no end of the formations you can work with, lushly opening themselves up for you as you go...
