Description

Another sharp pointy object for you to admire I bought this when I was in Idaho Falls, back in 1974 which actually makes this the oldest blade that I own. I have honed the upper and lower edges to a razor's sharpness. the total length is 15 inches with a ten inch blade Thank you for all your kind views, comments and faves. I do appreciate them all (I've been doing extra work at my job and so my rendering time is at a minimum and Queen Zlata the Gentle has been 'talking' to me about that.) Mike

I think it's a knife and a sheath? Wait a minute. Is this another quiz or not??? :) LOL! Very cool blade! I think the oldest one I have is from my sister's wedding. All the ushers or whatever I was got knives instead of flasks or whatever they usually give. I like that.

Superb knife,Mike! Is a great find. I love knives too, since I was a Scout, and I always have one or two at home, but my favorite and the one I carry on my pocket every day is a Swiss army knife that my son gave me.

good you keep it sharp. I read a man had a pocket knife in the navel and all the men kid him about it. on day the ship got hit and going down . he got knock out cold but they put him in a life boat. The rope was tangle's and they could not get away from the ship. The ship was going down but one of the men remember the knock out man pocket knife so he got it out the man pocket and cut the rope. All was happy then and they never kid him about the knife from then on.

Me thinks I see the lower part of a "bear's" face reflected in the blade. That says a bit about how this blade has been cared for over the years. It's not often one sees that - they usually turn gray with time. Sharp as a razor? Hope you don't shave with it! When I see such knives, I think big game - moose, boars, and Davy Crockett "killed bar on this tree". (I wonder what he looked like after that encounter!) Nice photo of a well kept blade. Keep up the good work! :-)
