YOu have evoked an image here. I think the appeal of mermaids is that we feel amphibian at time-not really part of this world, yet we do have to deal with the here an now.But there is always something more. We are caught between two worlds--the ideal and the actual.

Belated Thanks! I always feel weird commenting on my own stuff. :P This like most of my other images was done in a program called Expression. It has a nice little feature that lets you makes a line out of an image (ie, the fishies) :) Perfect program for digital doodles.
