Description

Another angle on the same collection of rock stacks with a lamp. The original idea of having a fire inside a ring of these stacks came from the excellent artist Gierla (you can see his very cool gallery here and I highly recommend you do) and I hadn't had a good chance to try it out until this last weekend. The final push came from a lucky talk with a local farmer that resulted in adding 6 more rocks to my toy collection, so of course I just had to play with them! This was really just a trial run, seeing what I'll need to do and what won't work. My next attempt will have to involve a real pit fire to see what the increased light will do. Thanks for taking a look. The rocks were all just balancing there, no glue or such to make it work.

From this angle, every one of them has a personality. They really do look like people in the shadows! What a fascinating image. I do hope you'll continue with this!
