I found Renderosity late on in 2003 and have since become an avid viewer of the tremendous talent on display. My contribution is just pictures I've drawn, daft sketches, favorite photos (mostly of landscapes and mountain days out) and comments and laughs with other members. Thanks to all at Renderosity and to people who contribute some amazing images and ideas.

Stunning image, I can't quite work it out though - whether I'm seeing the bottom of the water that is crystal clear and then the reflection further on or whether you've merged two photos or done an effect? Anyway it's an amazing image.

Thanks PandaB5. Thats just the way it was, its one photo. The water was very clear and there was (almost) a flat calm on the surface. Lovely place in nice weather.

A superb capture, Anthony. Living up there helps to give you these marvellous opportunities. Good on ye! This looks just like the peaty water they use in the manufacture of the 'water of life' / whisky. The layered trees look quite lovely on this quiet day. It is much better than a look over back tenements in the 'green city'. The water and stones reminds me of looking for tadpoles when I was still in short trousers. A 'piece in jam' / bread and jam, wrapped in a waxed paper made up our supplies. Water from the burns, or even better a tributary coming directly out of the chalk, was our 'juice'. An empty jam jar provided the means of capture and temporary aquarium for the captured tadpole(s) or two. They would be taken home, left out of the sunlight with some weeds. Then, after a day or so we would let the tadpoles go, into a burn / stream further down the mountain. Warm regards, my friend, and best wishes for you and your family, from a chilly Glasgow, John.
