Description

a week ago... 2nd Easter day a 'cows dancing into the meadow' event organised by dairy trader 'Campina' 101 cows, a zillion people, lots of tourists among them it poured! -of course- ;-D was hoping for some cow ballet (pics! ;-D) it was horrible!! (!!!) barn full of calves, that had known their mothers for less than an hour, some in crates (!) kids running, yelling, scaring them, 'hundreds' of flash guns being fired. dirty cows, many still inside, with 'funny' looking heads, cuz all had their horns cut (or burned?) off (but not opinionated!!! ;-D) could be much worse?? simular events throughout the country 12 - 4 pm 'happy cows' that produce yummy 'healthy' milk, to make the Campina brand look 'GOOD' http://www.campina.nl/ (expected back in the barn at 4.05 pm sharp btw... milking time!!!) and traffic jams on the way back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1_-yaF3ZEY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph8XLNKrwn4&feature=relmfu (both not 'here')

These are lovely looking cows, are the Friesians or Holsteins?? Like Andrea I didn't know it was an 'event' when they came out, it certainly isn't here in the UK.

sometimes I want to stop eating meat. Did you take any pics of the crated calves or cows with their horns removed. They would make pictures with impact and a message.

A super collage and photos. I can't believe that some of the cow's udders are so full and what are those things around their necks?
