Description

Sunfire could have easily been just another big, hulking warrior type, but the reason that I went ahead and made him the technological genius of the group was to go exactly against that archetype. Sure, there are others on the team that are scientists, and thinkers and whatnot, but he's specifically the gadget guy, and all-in-all even if some of their roles kind of overlap, it's o.k. because they compliment each other to fit and use their abilities to work together as a team both in battle and during the mundane tasks such as keeping their base and equipment in working order. As for him being partially phoenix, I just thought that it would be a cool twist to give a bit of an explanation for his fire powers, since a regular dragon can just breath fire, but he can engulf his entire body in flames and control it kind of like "The Human Torch." It also adds an interesting dichotomy, because although River is their chosen one and leader, it's Sunfire here who is probably the most powerful out of all of them simply because of the virtue of him being half-phoenix, and therefore immortal.
