Although I'm not a huge fan of winter this beautiful shot brought a smile to my face Mark. It's easy to see why you wanted to share this one with us as it is a lovely area that is mad e even more so with the addition of the light snow. You are one of those rare few who have the ability to find true beauty in our every day surroundings. I'm certain there are literally thousands of people who walk this street weekly, but only a handful take time to stop for a moment and focus on the beauty contained within this area. Thanks so much for Sharing this with us Mark as you are the light brightly shining p. this street if you ask me.

Wow, what a wonderful, crisp photo.Great colors and love the contrast of white against the dark trees and iron fence. The snow covered bike is also a very nice touch. Snow always makes things look so clean and pretty. Looks like a delightful place for a brisk stroll, even in the cold. CC

This is such a beautiful shot. Looks fantastic with the new snow on the saddle of the bicycle and on bushes and the warmer colors of the buildings we see between the branches of the trees. I can almost feel the chilly air. A wonderful clear shot, Mark :)

Excellent POV, with sharp clarity and contrast in this capture of a snow covered street in Chicago, Mark. Excuse the comparison, but images of a Christmas card come to mind in this stellar rendering, taken with Bill's DSLR. I trust you've cracked the arcane code on the device by now. And the owner of that bicycle is most complacent about his equipment.

A beautiful clear crisp capture of this street scene. The snow really stands out beautifully and I can feel the coolness in the air. You have also caught a great light here too. It seems like a wonderful camera, or is it just the artist in you that makes this a great shot.

What a great scene, Mark, one of my favourite types--winter, with snow, and trees, and fences...lucky you to live where you get this every winter. Ours is really hit or miss, and mostly miss. I think I need to move further north, like maybe to the arctic circle. Beautiful capture!

I love these shots of yours that look down the sidewalk at a perfectly ordinary (to you) scene on a perfectly ordinary (to you) day. The balance of the buildings on the left with the trees on the right (and that extra bit to THEIR right) moves my eye around so nicely. The people at the focal point, while at the center of the shot, are not the center of the image (if you know what I mean) and the fences are like grace notes around the edges. What a wonderful photograph!
