Description

A couple of years ago I was completely blown away by the UF-work of Joseph Presley/Joefraq with the IFS-Barnsley+jockIII formula (by Jock Cooper). It got me started on working with Barnsleys as well. You might say Joseph inspired me, very much so. It was a completely different way of working I had to get accustomed to. For example: doodads and harlequins work perfectly on Julias, but not really on Barnsley. I had to learn to use other formulas than those I was used to before. Even if I wondered off to Julias for a while I always came back to Barnsley, especially the formula with that impossible name as stated above. I found it so intriguing, not sure why, maybe because the repetitive pattern is less obvious. I don't believe I ever got close to what Joseph makes, though. To get a long story a bit shorter: this year I started out to really dig into this formula and trying to get more grip on it (hopefully...eventually). I'm still getting suprised very often and this piece was a positive surprise. It looked different at first but changes in the formula changed it for the better. Wanted to call it "JoJo" at first (for Jock and Joseph of course), but settled on a nice English word. For the Dutch: ik heb begrepen dat Escarp steile helling betekent, of zoiets. Hope you enjoy it and if you never before visited Joefraq's gallery - get to it and be sure to see the Fraq Cubism series!! ^_^ Yvonne
