LESS than a week :'-((( devastated! about 5 minutes before I came to check (and to feed junk food to the gulls there, so they wouldn't be so hungry ;-D) the last duckling was grabbed by a f****** heron

Nice photo. I wonder how the parents feel with their brood being decimated piecemeal like this. Either they have many ducklings due to the decimation, or, the decimation is to keep the brrod size down (so the world won't be overrun by ducks). There's a balance in nature. But it sure isn't fun when these cute little ones wind up dinner for someone else. Nice photo of the family. Keep up the good work. :-)
