I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

I like this a lot, has that hazy summery feel to it. Can't wait to see what you cook up for us in Vue. :)

Excellent job for your first scene, Rod! VUE is not particularly fast is it, when it comes to rendering. They really need a different/better render engine. I like this - reminds me of 'the old days' :)

Vue has come such a looooong way! I've got Vue 9 now (from one of the 3D mags) and hope to get Vue 10 later this year. Fantastic image!!

Great work!Wonderful to see that you decided to render so close that the building is not in full view.

Hmmmmmmmmm. Yes, I see what you mean about taking a while. The light looks a bit harsh. BUT ... other than that this image looks pretty cool. And as you mentioned, it does indeed look like a place just waiting to be explored. I like it. Nice first attempt.

I'd be check'n with the gardener...I don't believe you can grow dem kinda weeds in deese parts.....I reckon dem poo-lice might not take to kindly unless your using it for medicinal purposes only.....(smiles)... Your 1st attempt?....you look like you been doing it for awhile ...must be a natural....(smiles)...

Excellent start. You should get used to overnight renders at some point. Vue's atmosphere is calculated like a real atmosphere, but there are tricks to lessen render times. The highest settings are not usually necessary, but I always render better than the 'broadcast' level. Over time you come up with what works best for your system and patience. A typical render time for me is 12 to 24 hours.

A super Vue scene you have created here. I have just taken some tuts on Vue but I am not nearly as advanced as this. You are making splendid headway with it. Excellent work.

Beautiful work!

I have wanted Vue for some time now. And I almost bought it for me as a Christmas present back in December. But I am so afraid that there may be a huge learning curve and that what I do will look like crap. Maybe I will wait for you to learn it, then you can guide me ;-). You did a great job for your first. You can't even tell it.

Exceptional work Rod, just beautiful!
