Sorry for the corny title - just couldn't resist. My name is Dennis and I just got back into photography after two-decade layoff. I started off in 35mm in 1973 and lugged a couple of bags of gear, cameras, lenses, etc around the world during a 22 year Navy career. I got out of that habit after kids came along and cribs, diaper bags and car seats elbowed out camera gear for room in the car. Also, while my wife was remarkably patient with my stopping and waiting for just the right lighting, dirty-diapered kids were less so.
I got back into photography after my wife "forced" me to buy a DSLR in December of 2008. We'd gone to a camera store to buy a point and shoot for her to use in her antiques and collectibles business and she caught me looking at a couple of DSLRs in the display case. She suggested I check them out 'just for fun", but, when I tried to give them back to the sales person she asked "Which one do you want?" and refused to leave the store until I chose one.
Sadly, I lost Mrs Sea_Dog to cancer six months later, but fortunately she got to see me revive the passion I once had. My gallery is a lasting tribute to her and our love.

Over the last two and a half years, since learning about Renderosity from a friend, has been a continuous learning and discovery process. The artists here are so amazingly talented and inspirational - and extremely friendly. Seeing their work and reading their comments on mine have allowed me to grow as an artist much faster than I could have on my own.

A really neat effect you've created here with the speed! I love the colour and the wonderful contrast of the background! A great frame as well, as one feels as though entering into a timeless zone! It would certainly be an awesome unforgettable experience to be chauffeured in one of these babies!

I really like that aqua looking color.............. I am not that much into cars but this is one heck of a jazzy ride....... Would take it anyday over my Clampbettmobile...LOL all my car is missing is granny's rocking chair on top...............for some reason or another the deer just love our lil ole car............but it gets us there and back...that is all that matters..... I usually don't even say anything on a e bot when it comes to most car images..but had to this one........with that color.......and that look.......would make for a neat ride indeed.........I just wish I had the money that person had who took in the restoration for this car..........had to be a bundle..and you rarely see this color..........neat looking effect with the speed too.........looks like you going really fast........down the highway putting the pedal to the metal.. Nice pic and post work.......the 2nd car I have commented on this week...the other one was Richard's Red Roadster.........The 3 R's LOL............ Hope your having a great weekend Hugs Susan~

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! It's the Incredible Driver-less Car! And it's headed your way! I like this a lot. It really does look like it's moving. And with that wonderful jet inspired styling a lot of cars had in the mid to late Fifties it would look like it was moving when it was standing still. It's too bad you can't get away with colors like that anymore because I kind of like it. Great shot!

Your cars from the Imperial Palace always knock me out...this is no exception. I can see myself in the driver's seat too... P.S. I drove a 1957 Ford Ranchero that belonged to my neighbor about ten years ago...looked great with a sparkling new paint job and throaty dual exhausts but the handling was primitive compared to today's models. I was surprised...don't know why:)
