Description


This cathedral in Chitre dates from the 18th century but was substantially remodeled in 1988. The entire ceiling is made of polished mahogany. Unlike many cathedrals that impress through ostentation, this one is striking for its elegant simplicity and fine balance of gold and wood. This picture was taken on 14 July 2011, Sig... BTW, we had 103F on Saturday and 105F yesterday. This is the beginning of the heat which lasts through October. Got to make sure my AC gets serviced!

That is the beauty of this site. You can find so much variety in different artistic styles, I love the way you captured the view of this building and you didn't even use any Photoshopping on it either which makes it a whole lot more original.
