Description

Modeled and rendered in LW, still using dummy textures for this one. Another piece of hardware that joins the motor pool for the "Expansion" series (by Franky, obiwan, billy-home, laughingnome and gps). Production time from conceptualization to render was just over 12 manhours with delays due to some modifications and lots of (failed) tests on volumetric and hypervoxel explosions. This is a light hover tank, three man crew with a bit of room for four men more. The main gun is offset on the turret, with a rocket launcher facing the opposite direction, also offset. A couple of autoguns flank the rear ramp, and there are a few other bits and pieces that might be weapons. I doubt if this sort of thing will ever be a plausible design, but it looks cute. Thank you very much for viewing. Your comments, suggestions, criticisms and inputs are always appreciated.

very good indeed!! :) .,. one thing thou, did you model this with a "plastic model" as reference? ,cause i get a "plastic model" feel to it, when i see the models .. if indeed this is supposed to be real models, you might wanna add some more detail to them, to get rid of the plastic model feel :) .,. besides that, great stuff! as always! :) peace //Benny.

Hey, cool work Moe! Your solo and colaborative efforts always turn out exceptionally well. I'm a huge fan of the "Expansion" series. All the renderings are beautifully presented and so well done. Bravo!

Thank you very much for all your comments. Benny... lol, I would love to add more details but I have a restraining order out on my modeling. Need to keep the polycount low and allow the texture work to take care of the rest of the details. This needs to be converted into a Poser prop for the war that is to come. :o)
