My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

Wonderful capture Clive. I presume it is Andrea enjoying the sun in her beach hut. God Bless.

These things can sell for as much as an average suburban home over here.

Oh now I see what people use these for. I thought it just for storage, but it provides a little sheltered nook with your own private ocean view! Nice!

Christo got in first!! Super candid Alan. Took several pics in Wally's garden yesterday, didn't see you about!

Super! These are the ones the owners have to maintain themselves, and still pay a huge ground rent to the council. Mine is a Council let..better value!

I could tell it wasn't Andrea by the legs...hers aren't that meaty! Wonderful candid shot, Clive; beach huts just don't exist anywhere here that I've ever seen.

About bloody time as well... On my visits to Rosys, I am amazed that their milk (bought in GALLONS at the same price or cheaper that our liters!!!!!!)sits in the fridge for weeks and weeks and weeks... NO-ONE worries.. NO-ONE DIES!!!! Its the same with all the food! I've eaten stuff that been weeks old, tasted fine, no stomach ache.... nothing.. Anyway.... Beach huts! LOL Yes, I have spent quite a few childhood holidays in these.. At Cromer on the North Norfolk Coast if memory serves lol Great shot.. Rob

Nice one Clive, did you get to visit Andrea's beach hut, Dee and I did back in October 09. It was kinda fun sitting outside what we use in London for storing the garden tools in LOL...NO NO Andrea, not the face! Hit me elsewhere :}
