another of your deep swirling journeys into the inner realms, emerging from someplace deep to an undulant growing light. Your move between deep violets and those luminous blues are organic in the extreme, and highlighted by saturated reds & the 'carpeted' areas of saturated blue tentacles...I can never quite put your color-sense into words, but you have a second sense of how to bring hues to emotional climaxes through other hues (here your blues, for example, are peaks for these swirling rich purples). And you understand the inner processes that run through hues & shapes. These are irises---a good choice!---but it's great that you chose them as metaphors for the emergent dark goddess inside everyone, and let them make their way into the light. The reddish backgrounds (in the peripheries) almost seem like fire; and your sky is silken & burgeoning. A highly sensual work...and fitting that "iris" was originally a word for "rainbow" as well as the encompassing center of the eye. Beautiful work once more. (My fav's aren't working these days, but would be a definite fav...)

Wow! Simply stunning Carol! The voluptuous quality of the flower's shapes and colors are really striking. Reminds me of the flower we saw at lunch the other day!:)
