�The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors"
Melisandre is a priestess of an eastern religion which is little-known in Westeros. She worships R'hllor the Lord of Light. She is living at the island stronghold of Dragonstone and has become a close advisor of Stannis Baratheon. Stannis and the majority of his household have converted to her religion.
She has the ability to see the future in the flames as well as bring life to her shadow minion.
