Description
The Nieuport-Delange NiD-52,of French origin and made in Spain between 1930 and 1933 was the standard fighter of the Spanish Republic.
It was heavy, slow (225 km / h) and unresponsive. It was much slower than the then modern transportation Douglas DC2 (338 km / h), flying in Spain in civilian companies.
It was decided to replace by the Hawker Fury, but only 3 prototypes were received before the outbreak of war.
91 units were made but at the beginning of the war, due to accidents, there were only 52.
Most stay in Republican hands, but 11 held by the Nationalists.
Were used in combat during the initial months of the conflict, but the arrival of more modern biplanes like the Fiat CR32 and Heinkel He51 led to dedicate to training and coastal patrols.
No NiD52 survive the war.

Nice aircraft. Pedro, I like your inter war aircrafts. Inter war is is not true. There was war in Spain. I am curious to see the next model from you. ;-)
