Description

This is Entwhistle viaduct which carries the railway from Preston to Bolton and Manchester. I took this over the weekend on a seven mile walk across the the local moors which takes in two reservoirs and very peaceful open moorland. This has been standing there about 150 years and no doubt will still be there in another 100 years time. I am always amazed by the Victorians and their achievements. The viaduct is between two reservoirs that supply Bolton with water. Large view is best.

Great reflective shot. Seems to be some sort of optical illusion or effect that makes the arches look like they lean slightly to the right (or maybe it's just me)...
