Description

Easily one of my favorite of your Hawaiian images (and my wife's too)... the yellow feathered cloak of King Kamehameha was composed of approximately 450,000 feathers of the mamo bird and each mamo only had 6-7 useable yellow feathers.

@Flint: really great image again, although less depth and fog, and stronger colors would have made is more painterly, and Asian silk style. Matter of taste. @KenG: no wonder the bird got extinct.

looks great I love the slight misty back ground, reminds me of the islands in fall morings there.. great light...the bit of mist really makes the birds stand out!
