Description

A model based on a Perpetual Motion device designed in 1749. By extending weights further from the center it was intended to make one side of the wheel heavier than the other.

As far as I know it was never built. From my analysis as I built the model I'd say it rotated clockwise. Each weight, as it is pulled downward by gravity, pulls a cord which helps extend the following weight. When it reaches the midpoint of the rise the weight apparently magically snaps back to the low point. The entire concept is flawed. It confuses the idea of leverage with the fact of weight.
