Put me right onto The Steppes, fine looking scene and impressive brush work. I'm trying to remember various Tamiya models I built as a kid, a long time ago... are these KV-1's? To keep you in the mood for more, Al Stewart's "Roads to Moscow" ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_ZG6tRGMYk&feature=related ~ a song telling the story of a Russian soldier from the start of Operation Barbarossa to his Gulag exiled end.

Thank you! Correct, these are KV-1E tanks (E stands for "s ekranami" = with applique armor) - also known as KV-1B (model designation given by the Germans) or KV-1 m1940 (post-war Soviet model naming system).

The BW goes well with this image. It hides a lot of "too clean" color on renders and brings the viewer back to the era. Great job!

You've put some very nice details into this; the rain, the spatter. From the Go Further Department: Streams of water draining down the hills. Mud on the treads, Mud sprayed from behind the treads, Muddy tracks, Mud in the wheels. Exhaust I recommend doing this as post work. But I'm sure you can see these possibilities without me.
