Description
This is Dora a Gyr Falcon a rare bird in the UK and the one that the Arabs like for hunting.
All of the birds are part of a display team which is how I got so close, I was allowed into the perch area and If you imagine this mad Englishman crawling or kneeling with his head and camera sometimes only a 12 inches from the birds, one or to seemed to think I would make a better perch or maybe that I was food, there was also a crowd of amused spectators most of them hoping something interesting would happen.
so ImRassilon if you see this one that's how I did it, also gimi53 most of these birds are not UK natives and probably wouldn't survive in the wild here, they are all licenced and well looked after.
