Description
Some days ago I went to my usual computer shop, which is in an area that can only be defined as mongrelified. In fact, an urban perifery, made of low buildings and kitchen gardens, was lapped by the industrial park forty years ago. Then it became trapped among overpasses, railway bridges, and the beltway. It is just beyond the Trade Fair built in the Fifties.
The new buildings of the university expanded there, and the new offices of the province (like a county)were built twenty years ago. All the area was being gentrified until the current slump has slowed the process down until it has stopped.
Anyway, there was a great sunset just outside the industrial hangar turned into a computer shop. A Japanese magnolia was blooming and the Trade Fair parking lots even looked poetic in this light.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Absolutely gorgeous shot! Love the colors! I always appreciate your text, too, and learning about the places where your pictures were taken. I think I happened upon the Trade Fair buildings you are talking about when I was "driving" around at "street view" level in Google maps. :)

First, I just read that N. Italy had another quake, and I hope you were not effected. It sounded big, and I'm sorry at how your country has been hit with disasters in the recent past. I hope all will be ok, including you. Whether economic or natural, Italy has had its share of very trying & painful events. I hope they let up for all of you soon. Re your image, I'm coming back, but only for a couple of comments every few days, until my hand is wholly healed. So I can't do more than a couple today. But first I have to tell you that your series have been, consistently, some of the finest on RR. And this is no exception. This series is typified by highly saturated hues and very vivid springlike views & textures & objects. This is almost an abstract. And while the street level is visible---as are structures, signs, etc---the whole piece has the feel of a way-on-the-fringes evening-scape, with the feeling that these buildings are on the edge of an abyss, ready to sink into the night (night, because the light here feels very 'late day'). And, as with all transitional periods between day & night, this has the beauty and mystery that always precedes nightfall. The Japanese Magnolia sweeps down into the shot as in an Oriental print (esp Japanese), and you've postworked the leaves to be almost dyed glass or some kind of ceramic. Beautiful moody piece, capturing an edge-of-civilization feeling that such places can have; and for all its outpost-feeling (at least to my eyes) it has a quiet beauty. The peach hues help that a lot. Beautiful.

Gran bella composizione. L'angolo di ripresa è originale, l'esposizione ottimale. Il risultato finale è molto romantico e ricorda un pò gli acquerelli orientali. Brava
