Captured back on 7/4/10, early AM, within walking distance of my reclusive residence.
Verifiably ZOOM worthy.
My having posted several rose pics over the past week, you may be getting bored so I'll change the subject matter tomorrow.

in your description you said you'd posted several roses recently, so you'll change the content tomorrow...well just know---as is attested by Andrea, Denise, morningglory, etc---your rose series is one of the outstanding flower series we have on this site, so I for one never tire of them. So while I understand your wanting to change off for your fans, I'll always love them no matter when or how often you post them. Besides, one of the great side effects in seeing several pieces in a series, in a short time, is to get the sense of how much variety you've found in one common subject, showing us so many personalities, types of petal, hue, balance, form, light, etc, from the same specie of plant. It's an object lesson for everyone, esp as you then do such minimalist series like branches on sidewalks or the sides of garages, etc etc. Terrific variety in your offerings... This seems shot slightly from above, with the rose bowing to us where we get to see its petals angled downwards. It's a beautiful study of the way flower-petals 'climax' in such lush hues on the edges, while their 'innards' are much lighter (here, a typical creamy white). And you've given real clarity in the folded ends and the 'veins', and let us see the counterpoint of all their angles. A little dance of petal-edges. And you've silhouetted the flower against a dark background, which is perfect. I'm glad to read that people above zoomed. (I think there should be a fine for not zooming! I'm serious!) It's sumptuous, Harry. This is a great series. And I can't believe you're at 190 with this beauty. Beautifully & sensuously done.
