Hello , My name is Patti and I am new to photography and the photo manipulation world . I started about 4 months ago and I am loving it . About a year ago I started playing around with my first digital camera and before I new what hit me I Received my first email with a request to purchase an image for publication including this collage which was my first attempt at photo manipulation needless to say it was the article I wrote along with it that sold the package to Gold prospectors magazine and now i am hooked . I have a beautiful 9 year old Daughter and a great guy by my side. I Groom dogs and cats for living and in my spare time away from work and the pc I love fishing , camping , Gold prospecting and Rock hounding . Basically anything outdoors and im rarely with out my camera . Well thats about it. Life is pretty full and I am excited to be here.Â

what a lovely picture...so far I can see is this a young cockatoo...love the plumage and details

He is 8 but had a hard first 4 years of his life and had plucked himself baled by the time he was 1 . At 4 my Boss rescued him and he lived at my work for the past 4 years , he was happy there but still didn't get as much one on one attention and affection that he needed . They also become bored very easy and require weekly changing of there toys perches and general appearance of there cage . I adopted him 3 months ago and he has grown all new feathers and is no longer baled but he still bites the ends of his feathers off . After 8 years of heavy plucking I may not be able to completely cure him of this habit. But he has become a very important part of our family and he is getting all the love and attention he deserves with daily trips in the car trips to work he sits at meal time with us has cuddle and play time every day and other then his main very large cage he has bird stands through out the house so he gets to move and spend time with us where ever we are or no matter what we are doing .. We LOve BIG BIRD :) He has gained weight and a lot of muscle , when I brought him home he was very unsteady perching on our hand or in the car . Now he can hang upside down and swing and flap like he is flying in place he is doing wonderful.
