My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Ah, I'd recognize that influence anywhere, and I have yet to attempt a reasonable sort of rock stacking exercise...I'm still trying to figure out a way to get up a bit farther north to attempt a rock-stack with the Master of the geological balancing act. And I can say that this is an elegant shot, an elegant monument, and I love the ancient look of it. This is superb! I love the idea that this is also a collaboration as well! And, would it actually be appropriate to say that this rocks?

Reminds me of a Japanese garden nice work.

There's something so meditative about stacked rocks. It's fun, and when you're done, it just feels GOOD!!

Superb capture Tara. Amazing what one can create and with such simple material as rocks. God Bless.

I'm glad you chose to do this in B&W, it's the perfect medium for it. A fantastic shot and thanks to Bill for his architecture.

Outstanding B&W with great contrast and textures!

Beautiful b&w composition with dramatic light & shadow. That rock near the bottom is particularly fascinating to me - it looks like it's draped over the rock under it...

Love it! Very different in B&W and from this angle, Tara. Would make a great print, Clive

Oooo, I hadn't seen the shape of the foundation rock myself! OK, seems I've got five figured out...next time I'll have to try for six:)

Wonderful light and shadow, Tara! And of course the texture of those rocks just........well.........rocks! I've tried stacking rocks like this a time or two, but haven't done anything worth photographing (yet). I think Mike's started a movement...

Like Chip, I immediately recognized the influence - looks like you two could well go into competition with Mike. Love the photograph of this temporal statuette - the monochrome really brings out the texture of the rocks
