Description

Well my Rose I thought was a John Kennedy certainly isn't..this rose is a deep dark almost wine red rose..If anyone knows the name please let me know... My cousin and I finally got out and got to the nursery.......I got my plants and hubby planted them....and I got a Black Eyed Susan in a basket for Mother's Day........ Have been feeling some better trying not to stay in bed as much and getting up earlier.....and going to bed a little bit earlier as well.... I have a Dr appts Thurs....had one for Friday but it is Relay for Life and I am hoping I am able enough to go eat....do the survivor walk and get my Cancer Tee Shirt........ Glad it's also warming up here as well...been 90 for the past 2 days......... Hubby and I met 31yrs ago tomorrow..we had our first date at the Ky Derby...I am guessing all the hotels are sold out and all the movie stars will be in attendance...I hob nobbed once on Millionare's Row with the Movie Star...was in a dress and high heels and in misery the entire day and mint juleps aren't good....so if your ever attempted to buy one I wouldn't....LOL I am so happy for Eekdog moms that all her test came back negative....and hoping lil Emma is improving daily as well.....I wish everyone who suffered didn't have to....... Also wanting to wish all the mom's on here a Happy Mother's Day....... All postwork done in PSP Added borders and text....... Good to know you've been "out and about." One of the best things about spring is getting new plants to--well--plant. Heh! This rose is lovely. Perhaps it is God's way of saying here's something special for a special person. Congratulations on 31 years of sharing time with that special person. Tell him that many of us keep him in mind as well as you. Always good to see a posting and know that you're still with us and kicking.

I'm bad a flowers names let's just call it a glass of red wine lol it's beautiful you've done a great job..I feeling tipsy already ,cheap date!~lol stay well I hope ou can make the cancer walk I'm also looking into one here for we have many!~ perhaps a shot of cortisone in my foot and maybe I can make it: still have plantars fascitis very painful (just on the list of mine many more) GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR life isn't always fair is it? but we don't give in,or give up big hugs ...off to the doctor for franks pre-op

That is a beautiful rose! My grandmother was always a fan of roses and she passed on the fondness to me. I don't know this type though. It has a rich gothic red, though, lots of dark tones. Congratulations on your Anniversary and I'm glad you are feeling better!

I don't know much about Roses, although this one is a beauty and I have a Daylily that is almost identical in color, and is velvety also. Happy Anniversary, and I hope you continue to improve and feel better.

Beautiful rose. There are so many deep red roses in the world it is hard to say which one this is, so without a name...I'd call the American red rose. ;c) I have two of those, since the names have long been lost.
