Description

With the release of "The Lord of The Ring" into the DVD arena, of course, I HAD to buy it. Now, i'm so excited after watching the 10 minute preview, I decided to TRY tocreate an image of Gandalf. I'd also like to try to recreate some of the other characters as well. I have to say, this was really tough, and i'm not completely happy with how it turned out - but it was fun and I feel like I learned more. This image was created by compositing my poser render using michael 2 & and an image i found of gandalf - and blending and painting. Thank you so much for viewing =) **********************CREDITS******************** Gandalf - Michael 2 (Daz MP) Rendered in Poser/Postwork in Photoshop 6 **Note** I've revised a few things i've noticed and uploaded the revision with the fixes.

Ohh, this is really a cool picture, the hair doesnt look like a photo at all, very good blending....ehm..I hope Im right that youve used a photo ashamed The only thing is that I can see the blending or whatever at his nose, you see, at his right nose-side(?) I see something what is disturbing me...but maybe its again my eyes lol Cool pic anyway, his expression is great!

Read the books of Tolkien, but haven't seen the movie yet :( But in my imagination Gandalf looks like you've made it.

His nose is actually a little crooked. Part of this image is an actual pic of him, and part is a render - it's blended. Most of the hair and beard is painted in. lol* this was not an easy one for me to do!

This is beautiful! Maybe should you put some hair upon this right chick, you know: a piece of curling strand, something like that in order to mask the frontier betwin the hair and the skin. I think this would improve the blending.

Suzi, you've done a great job - seriously! The only thing I can remark, just to help y'out, is the lack of volume of hair on top of his head. It's just a round - straight-edged head; just add some strants of hair to add some more volume. Other than that - you did an exceptional job on this one! Keep up those great things!

you did wonderful Suzi, it is very difficult task to use paint and render along with photo you did perfectly with this and the blur gives the effect of action wind blowing etc
