Description

One of my pairs is nesting in a flowerpot on its side in a stack of them. This is one of the safest nest sites in the garden, and very hard for the corvines to predate. There are thick wire bars as the pots are stacked in an industrial basket-rack: these same bars make it very hard to get a picture without them causing thick shadows from the flash!

Oh how nice! Little robins. Unusual to be able to look into a nest like this, and without frightening them. Good photo, and, as you say, without the shadows of the protective bars. Keep up the good work! :-)

Marvelous capture Andrea. Our robin nest is once more in full use. they seem to keep building it ontop of the electrical meter attached to side of the house right beside the garage door. So every time I go out to the garage I get scolded by the mother bird to stay away. They used this smae place last year to raise 2 different sets of babies.

We also have a robin's nest that has been used for the second year in a row. It is right outside our hallway window, so every time I pass by I check on the nest and there's momma robin on duty. Can't wait for the eggs to hatch!

So cute - the birds here are all busy to work on the nests and maybe feed the children.
