Description

Well I was stuck on "One for the road" as a title, but I do so much traveling that I've more than likely used that one already. :~) Looking at the lower right corner a spiral ham popped into my mind. Most might think of a spiral staircase, must be the color that's got me thinking ham. Maybe it's that I recently cooked one, or maybe I'm just a strange man, haven't decided yet. :~p It's not easy coming up with titles for all these sandstone images...LOL! One can see(in full view) the smaller pieces of iron concretions from yesterdays close up towards the top of the moat. The next set in this series I'll go into more detail about those. Please do enjoy a look at last night's post, it is rich in textures. See everyone in a couple of days. To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed my last image below. thumb_2326721.jpg

from looking at your pictures of the canyons, it makes me appreciate where I live more...I live close to those areas....nice and they all are really pretty (i grew up in the east where rockies such as these dont exist as prominent...but they had bunch of trees, forests, and lightning bugs that I missed...so thanks for posting these rocky sceneries as they are really beautiful!

I can see where the water from a raging river must have carved this out. I almost expect to see it surging now. Great shot!!!
