Description
My version of Athena. I know she is usually depicted with blonde hair, but as the virgin goddess of war and wisdom and with her history, I thought the red appropriate. Here she is in a desecrated temple, ruined by war and time. Possibly regretting some of her choices.
I hope you like it!
I'm having some tests done soon to find out why I feel so run down and tired. Hopefully in the next month I'll be in with a doc who can help. I'm still practicing the modeling and hope to have something to share with you all soon.

Much more appropriate. Nicely done. I found when I stopped staying up til dawn playing on the pc, and after my doctor yelled at me, I felt much more refreshed. ;P All kidding aside, I hope you feel better soon, sweetie. Maybe you miss the desert...?

the red you put in this upload really does the touch. I like the leg, I zoomed in to see if the own was on a leather arm protector and saw she was holding it with her hand - then I looked at her face and it's as if she is being instructed by a photographer to hold the owl that she's not familiar with - the expression and holding the owl with her hand gives this a different feel than a traditional way of handling an owl, I like it.

Really beautiful image and a classic and excellent depiction of this most powereful Goddess. Great setting with the ruins and perfect background. Good idea on including her patron animal. Awesome work.

You have given her life in this image. This is how I have always imagined her, strong-willed but kind. You have put the essence of Greek mythology in your art, the colors were subtle with a touch of red that complimented the gray tones. Wonderful work!

Here I think red works because you have integrated the color throughout the composition giving a sense of harmony and balance and by so doing allowing you to push the territory a bit.
