Hello! My computer died last week & I had to buy a new one, so for the last few days I've been transferring files from the old drives to the new computer & I came across this picture of a french webbing Algerian war period that I had made for VPM1 US paratrooper as it very closely resembles the french uniform. I had done this as a texturing exercise that later on helped me on my Tommy, for some reason I never posted this & forgot about it. Rediscovery! Basically I retextured the uniform with the french lizzard camies & created the typical agerian war head gear (Casquette Bigeard)with the cheche ( the berber scarf) & french webbing with the 1 litre french canteen, the french webbing incorporated both US & brit influences. The Mat 49 is from Panko. Thanks for looking

I'm not too up on French uniforms, but no doubt these are as accurate as you British uniforms!

Sorry to hear about your PC. I had the same problem a while back...as you have done, always back up :) Thanks for posting these even if as a project they never see the light of day.

Sorry to hear about the computer. I finally got my large Hi-def monitor replaced yesterday. The originial one died about a year and a half ago (after having it less than two years!) I've been using a very old 15" monitor which took up a quarter of my desk space. It gave out finally--after ruining my vision. (I had to purchase new glasses.) For want of a nail, I guess. Sigh. This is an interesting piece of military modeling. You might consider someday doing something similar to Tommy project--after you finished the latter.
