Thanks everybody for the comments and friendship, this image was rendered at 300 dpi, background and character together, with just the fire being added later. The point is... I'm SO happy that it all took just 40 minutes on my new computer. ;-P

Amazing effects in this beautiful render and great news that your new computer is delivering so quickly. I find that with mine I now go back and fix a lot of the errors wheras before it just took too long so I left them and fixed them afterwards. You have rendered this from a great POV too and the colours go so well together. Excellent work.
