Description
Another sneak peek at Angelsfury2004's 'AF_Instinct' textures for RPublishing's Anarchy. Thank you so much, Tracy, for these textures - the colors are simply fantastic! Perfect combo of vivid and fun!

Picking up from yesterday...bad day grew increasingly more so...I bought a Kindle Fire for my 91 yr. old mother who is still an avid reader. So far, since last Saturday I'd loaded 140 books on it (yes, major overkill, I know) and was in the process of downloading a huge Sherlock Holmes tome onto it when the Kindle froze and locked. Then I noticed my computer had disconnected from the internet and refused to do anything - AT ALL. Major stress. Kindle should still have worked through the wireless router but didn't. Hubby's laptop also internet useless, and then my computer wouldn't even load in safe mode. Home phone worked just fine, so figured it had to be good old Verizon. When I let the dog out at 4 a.m. Kindle was still frozen and lit up (should not be), with time on it still showing 6:36 p.m. Kept my cool (NOT easy) and put off calling Amazon until this morning, hoping like heck they'll honor and replace it before this weekend. Mom lives several hours away and I don't know when we'll get up again soon. The Kindle was a surprise for my 'I have no use for modern technology' mother (won't even own a dvd player or cell phone) and now it's garbage. Nice. Real nice. Then I came out at 6:30 this morning and the Kindle was dark. I clicked it on and not only was the operation perfectly normal, the Sherlock Holmes book was now on it. Keep in mind I also have a Kindle Fire (love it so decided to get one for my mom)and NONE OF THIS HAPPENED TO MINE. My Kindle was not only completely operational throughout this entire ordeal but it also connected to the internet with no problem (Facebook, email, whatever I tried), which is why we were stumped that everything else wouldn't. Somebody told me this is all because of yesterday's sunspots. Don't know. Don't care. It's fixed. I'm happy.
edit: thank you for pointing this out - when I said my comp wouldn't load in safe mode I should have added that it went straight to windows no matter how many times I pressed F8. I wanted to see if I could get online in safe mode, as I'd done before, which meant it was not a Verizon problem but a comp problem. As for why it refused to go into safe mode, I am completely baffled.

and then my computer wouldn't even load in safe mode<<< this is what has me concerned... usually hardware incompatibility (bad driver for plugged in peripheral) or..... Make sure you have an updated virus scanner and have it do a complete boot scan!! Ok this image ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSS! what else can I say!

Lovely render - great colours you've used here. Sometimes there seems to be no logic at all when it comes to problems with technology - glad to hear that your problems seem to have solved themselves.

Well, by the looks of this artwork, I would never have known you had such a stressful day, Linda! This is superb! I worked as a tech for Gateway for 8 years..... During that time, I came to the conclusion that most computers - after thier initial boot-up - become sentient beings, and they are prone to frequent and sometimes lengthy periods of PMS... That's my story, and I'm sticking to it... Perhaps it works the same way for Kindles, Nooks, Ipads, etc, etc.
