Description
Today in the Pergola box. There were 9 or 10 eggs.
There are 4 chicks in the Coalplace box.
There is a third family of Bluetits in the Front Door box..I have to get steps to photograph them!

That's just a fantastic shot! It illustrates the endless appetites they have and why northern Alberta is so important to migratory nesting birds of North America. The vast insect bloom in Alberta's north is the source of feeding for most birds in North America. I think the figure was around 70% but I'm not sure of that right now. Other areas, though used for nesting, simply do not have enough insects to feed to prodigeous numbers of nesting birds.
