Description
This is a picture of the Old Faithful geyser in Calistoga, California. It is one of 3 Old Faithfuls in the world (the other two are in Yellowstone Park and New Zealand). Calistoga and Napa Valley are in the remains of an extinct volcano. However, one site says that it is not a full volcano, but a lot of volcanic activity happened here a long time ago.

Art, you did a marvelous job of photographing this. I was there a few years back and it was difficult for me to get a shot of the geyser with strong light and a decent background. Well done! I know I'll be going back for a picnic lunch soon.
