Here the Coral Snake has reached the berm of the landscape rocks and climbs over.

Thanks everyone. These snakes are some of the most poisonous in the Western US. But they do not have fangs. So they do not inject you with the venom. The venom is in their saliva and if they break your skin, then it gets into your body. Last year I was bit three times in about a third of a second by a Coral Snake half this size or about two feet long. It did not break my skin, so I was good to go. When the red and yellow bands do not touch each other, it is a King Snake and they are not poisonous.
