In 2005 and after 31 years in the brewing industry I chose "Freedom 55" and retired early. This allowed me to follow my passion of scuba diving and travel. I moved out to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada for 3 years and became a professional scuba instructer.  Shortly after returning from New Zealand in the fall of 2011, I have been having to deal with a couple of non diving related medical issues which has forced me to hang up the mask and fins for a spell. This should give me more time for taking pictures...lol.

"Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives."

Fantastic action capture! :) Hope you have a speedy recovery. :) The problem with getting older is nothing is as speedy as it used to be, except time. That goes faster! ;D LOL!

Great sport shot~! Glad to hear you've gotten through the surgery - well wishes for a speedy and full recovery! I injured my shoulder a several years ago at work, it has been life changing. Though surgery went well this old body had other ideas. An extended period of phys therapy got me most of the way back for which I am most thankful. Good luck for a full return and future plans of your active self~

Wonderful capture, and something I almost tried once in my younger days. Don't think it would be a good idea any more, unfortunately, but it looks like such fun.

Famous or infamous Lake Taupo, a friend drowned there years ago, while sailing those ice-cold waters - but that's another story ... great POV for this image, BB (take your time - and great care, for your recovery)
