Hi, I am Barbara and live in Lincolnshire. I love nothing better than walking with my 3 dogs, (Large Munsterlanders) and taking the camera along. Iam afraid my photographic skills are not very good, I just point and click & hope for the best. Sometimes I do take some nice shots!!
I have lived with this breed since 1986, before that I had border collies. I was told when getting my first Munster, Jenna, I would become addicted and I sure was, owning 7 of this breed over the years.
Although Munsters are a working gundog, afraid I couldn't shoot anything, so we do other things like, showing, obedience and heelwork to music.
The girls are all different & I hope to show that in their pictures.
I would like to thank my good friend Janeeden for persuading me to get started.
Video's & songs for the girls can be seen on www.jendellas.com

marvelous collage of these beautys. Your ability to read these wonderful critters is amazing. They are so driven by instinct, they do not have to be trained to track prey, it just comes natural.

Godd that they are obedient! I have just come back from a walk including about 1/3 acre badger set, when even Fritz had to be on the lead!

Very Interesting about the body language and I do think a good dog owner should be able to read the bod language of their dog/s. Our Labrador, being a Labrador, is fine, he loves seeing other dogs and is quite easy on walks, well behaved, listens well and loves nothing more then retrieving, even if it is an old stick lol. Our Border Collie , that is a different matter, he used to round up EVERYTHING so I saw the signs, he would prick up his ears, lay low and then go for it... I have no trained him with a gentle method , soft voice and LOTS of treats that he walks on the Lead without pulling in the road to runs up pigeons or other dogs. It does sound funny but it was so bad that I was scared for my and his safety. He now also knows, as soon as he walks on my left he has to stay close, he is coming to me as soon as I call him we still training that and he sits and stays where I tell him to stay. Training him for weeks now and we have such fun, he is such a character so , being a Border Collie is a bit timid and won't take treats from strangers or let them touch him. Ben the Labrador does not care how feeds him along as food is coming his way lol

Yes, it is important to read our dog's body language! Great picture comparison!

Wonderful collage of the girls Barbara, and so interesting reading about you reading them lol. Dogs are such interesting creatures and I love them dearly in fact not known life without them, and yes I think that now after all these years I do know exactly what they are thinking, yes even my two little rascals who by the way are so looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, and of course the treats you so kindly bring them too lol. They will be waiting at the front door a good 30 minutes before you arrive, as per usual, hugs and love xxxxxxxxxxx cats looking forward too xxxxxxxxxx

Magnificent photos to create this montage Barbara. I have seen Jasmine with her nose to the ground and tail high, as she runs and hunts but I had not noticed these signs before. Once again I have learned something new at RR.

Yes it is important to be able to interpret the body language of a dog, and it is obvious that you have this down pat with the girls.. Nice collage Barbara.
