Description
Another pretty garden in a relatively new neighborhood, which was more or less countryside until ten years ago. Here the detatched houses are divided by small gardens, but the pattern of the alleys still follows the old country road. From inside the garden of a friend of mine.
Here we've been dancing at the 6.0 earthquake's tune since 4.00 o' clock in the morning. A big shake in the area between Bologna and Ferrara, but felt all over Northern Italy, and a number of minor ones since then. Some things fell from a piece of furniture in my home, but there were no damages here in Padova. The crazy thing is that we started to post in the social networks and didn't go in in streets.
Thanks for your kind comments.

A most idyllic spot - especially when surrounded by Roses! (and Azaleas) - but something to worry about, when it comes to earth quakes, I wouldn't want to be indoors? take care, Sandra BB

Definitely seems like a wonderful place to live, and appears most welcoming past those front gates! Lovely colours and shadows!

Beautiful Sandra. Glad you survived unscathed, but staying inside was probably not the best thing to do. I saw some of the damage done to some of the old, historical builings and looked it up, as to the location. What a shame, all those beautiful buildings. Did Venice sustain any damage?

First, I know you've had lots of tremors recently, and I'm sorry that it's effecting so many of you in that region of the world. I hope it stops. And hope there are no terrible injuries and damage as a result. Second, this is another of your combination of saturated hues, only in this case you have a whole composition of them. You have so many interesting intersections of horizontals and verticals, and of florid areas contrasted with start white walls. Or the beautiful pinkish walkway behind and in front of the fence, contrasted with the greens, the flowers, and the rust-red color of the metal. The tree near the center is another fine accent, as is its alignment with the lame in front of it. Everything here seems set up for a still-life shot (even though it isn't), and your capture is like a big piece of design. Beautiful and musical shot, with lots of planes and areas intersecting. A fascinating confection. (There's that word again, lol. I keep thinking of 'confection' when I see some of these. The latin just means "put together," as I imagine you know from your knowledge of Italian if not also latin. But it came to mean a multiple-pieced dessert, and somehow these pictures are like big monumental desserts. Lots of different flavors, and all very rich, sweet and exotic.)
