Such character and charm in these old stone buildings~ I love that the shutters on buildings in Germany are functional and actually used. Never understood the purely decorative ones here...maybe ppl don't know how to use them if they had them (We also put the wrong kind of windows on our homes imho - prefer casement windows that open in instead of the double-hung ones you find here which only ever open halfway).
