Another quick thank you to those that have left comments and stuff for my recent renders. Here is a new scene featuring Bindi by Freja having a leisurely walk out in the sunshine. I know it's not technically a beach she's at, but I liked the title so stuck with it anyway. And there's bound to be a beach somewhere under that pier, right? By the way, apologies if you see this outfit popping up a bit too often. It's one of my favourites so will probably use it quite a bit.
Just added the birds in postwork. Bird brushes are from Obsidian Dawn.
Thanks for looking. Hope you like. All comments greatly appreciated.

Great stuff! I love how the pier structure frames the image, the birds are an excellent touch and you brought the depth of field flawlessly. Superb lighting. Great character and expression. Excellent! 5+

I agree with the DoF. You better watch out, Callad's going to be after you :-) I hate to put this in writing, but for the sake of your high quality renders, technically those birds would be swallowed up in the DoF as well. Love the brushes though, and use them myself from time to time.

It's funny you should mention that, Soups (may I call you Soups?). I had this exact issue myself when adding them birds. I added a couple of larger birds. Then got rid. Then added the smaller birds. Then thought about it looking off with the DOF so I removed them. But then I kinda missed them, so ultimately decided to stick them back in the hope that no-one rumbled it. You were in like a shot, fella. Cheers for the advice though which is fantastic to help my development. Maybe I need you on 24hr call when I am c

...confused about a bird or something. It'll be like Samaritans, but for a constantly indecisive renderer like me it'll be invaluable. :)

Beautiful scene and tremendous render! Super cute outfit. Really flatters her. I was dying to get a peek at some of the scenes you said you weren't happy with and if this any indication of those I'm sure that they are fantastic as well! Great work!

Nice strong dof, great pose, lovely mood!

Great scene. Nice outfit! As to the birds, all you need is to open your Photoshop/Gimp and use the blur brush, set it to like 30-50 pixels with an intensity of maybe 30%, and go over the birds lightly. That would solve the DOF blending issue.

Many thanks for the suggestion, takoyaki. I'll try and implement that technique next time. Cheers.
