Hi, I am Barbara and live in Lincolnshire. I love nothing better than walking with my 3 dogs, (Large Munsterlanders) and taking the camera along. Iam afraid my photographic skills are not very good, I just point and click & hope for the best. Sometimes I do take some nice shots!!
I have lived with this breed since 1986, before that I had border collies. I was told when getting my first Munster, Jenna, I would become addicted and I sure was, owning 7 of this breed over the years.
Although Munsters are a working gundog, afraid I couldn't shoot anything, so we do other things like, showing, obedience and heelwork to music.
The girls are all different & I hope to show that in their pictures.
I would like to thank my good friend Janeeden for persuading me to get started.
Video's & songs for the girls can be seen on www.jendellas.com

Oh dear poor Mr Buck I hope that he heals soon those abscess are not nice.. I remember when we had cats and our cats have had them, usually because of a fight they have had when they have been bitten by another cat. Get better soon and be a good patient...

So sorry to hear about what Mr. Buck had to go through Barbara, but glad to know they were able to take care of the problem and that it wasn't anything serious. I'll put him in my prayers for a fast recovery.

Its wonderful to hear it was just an absess. I doubt Mr. Buck is happy with the shave job, but it will grow back quick enough. LOL giving pills to a cat is way way harder than it is with a dog. When we had to give Misty pills, I just got a finger full of peanut butter and hid the pill in it, she would lap it off my finger and never know there was a pill there, but cats are much different, I can hide a tiny pill in fresh tuna and the cats are able to enjoy every bit of the tuna and leave the pill behind. The vet gave us a small tool that looks like a syringe that holds a pill, you put it into her mouth and place the pill far enough in the back of her throat she can't spit it out. luckily our cats are healthy and it has been rare we have had to do this.

Aw, poor Buck! I'm glad it was not more serious. I've given a lot of pills to cats and they are all so different. Whenever I am dealing with a particularly stubborn feline, I think of the James Herriot quote, "Old Herriot may be limited in many respects, but by God he can wrap a cat.” I've resorted to wrapping on occasion, though not with such skill. I hope Buck is quickly healed and all goes well on his next vet visit. He's a beautiful boy, even with his bare butt. Lovely picture!

So, this was the culprit that assigned Buck to his pen. Soon to be healed and good as new I hope.
