Beautiful work! She looks gorgeous and that's the perfect outfit for this image. I think I understand what you mean. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but you exported the Poser image of her as a .PNG right? I think the important thing is to do the render of her with a plain black background in Poser. Just a plain black background.

Nice character. You could also import the image as a background into Poser and then render. No rim then. But rendering on a plain black background is a good idea too!

Yes, import the image into Poser as a background and render over it as Odile suggested. That way you don't get the line. Well you do, but it's the same colors as the background then. Save the image as a .png where the background will drop out. Add the background in your art program as a new layer and drag it under the figure layer. If you have PShop you can save the image as a .psd. Then when you open it, immediately duplicate the layer and then "Merge Visible". Leave the background masked. You'll get just the figure and no background. Duplicating the layer also 'thickens' up the image of the figure - especially the hair making it less transparent. Then you add the background layer and drag it under the figure layer. Fantastic work!

Easiest way to get around the white outline - assuming you are using a PNG file from Poser and have nothing but your character in it): - Click "Select" on the menu bar, then click on "Load Selection" - Photoshop will default to layer you are on, or you can select the character layer in the "Channel" dropdown box, then click "OK" - Click "Select" on the menu bar, then click on "Modify" and then "Contract" - Set the value to "1" and click "OK" - Click "Select" on the menu bar, then click on "Inverse" - Click "Edit" on the menu bar, then click on "Cut" and your outline will be gone. Takes longer to write than do, and it's easy, really. You can even make it an Action for future use!

GORGEOUS!!! Eir and outfit! Beautiful work hun! Some Great advice in comments too! I ave the same problem with pngs I usually duplicate the layer and use the innerglow (layer style) set at 1...pick colour from skin and use multiply. This works ok for me, but I still run the blur tool on flattened images! Thanks Alz.

AM you load it on a layer defringe, then tell it to remove white mat! from the ping before you merge,, sometime you will also have to use the selection wand and set a few extra pixels antialiasing!!! Oh your image great though... and I really love the fact that a witchy little thing walking trough a very dark scary area has her purse with all her stuff including car keys' gave me an lol.. not at it but was cute!! very original idea please keep them up! BTW that layer thing is one of the reasons i also use PSP not just photo shop! in PSP it is way faster and easier

Well, here's my way : in Photoshop with the Poser layer selected, go to the layer menu and at the end click on "Matte" and try "Defringe" (1 px) or if it's not enough try "Remove White Matte" (1 px). A fine render, even with the fringe ;-)
