Description

Some roses happily spring out of the fence of the very small garden of an old working class house. Once the area was filled with artisan workshops, more or less along the external side of the Renaissance walls, but the area was gentrified in the 1950s, most artisans closed, and the old working class houses refurbished and sold to the medicine 'barons' living within spitting distance of the hospital. Only some houses resisted, like this one. Thanks for your kind comments.

I am not surprised that this neighborhood was gentrified. We have areas in Phoenix that brought a formerly run-down neighborhood into the high-end pricerange and the houses there are now owned by professional. I like the old windows and shutters in this picture.

sandra, I commented on this 2 times, and the comment kept disappearing...I apologize if you got several ebots, the site is in one of its slow-modes right now. I'll see if I can duplicate what I wrote. Your pov has a wonderful opening from back to front, where the image opens up and delivers a kind of 'spill' for us. And that spill is primarily in the beautiful saturated red blooms, along with their pinkish other tones. They contrast beautifully with their green leaves. And the house has the most beautiful purplish hue, another beautiful contrast. Your postwork is just beautiful here, as it is in this whole series. Rites of spring---as I think I wrote someplace else---beautiful, magical, and always dancing. And you've transformed simple house-fronts into scenes from wonderful enchanted tales. A beautiful image, as part of this beautiful and so-lush series...

Bella inquadratura. La scelta della inusuale angolazione dona dinamismo all'immagine insieme alla bella gamma cromatica dellevrose. Molto brava.
