Bitte lesen, Info zum Bild!!! Als Vestalin bezeichnet man eine vestalische Priesterin der Göttin Vesta. Der Tempel im Hintergrund ist ihr geweit.(Forum Romanum) Die Priesterschaft der Vestalinnen bestand aus einer mindestens dreißigjährigen Dienstzeit. Ihre Hauptaufgabe war das Hüten des Herdfeuers im Tempel der Vesta, dass niemals erlöschen durfte, sowie das Holen des Wassers aus der heiligen Quelle der Nymphe Egeria, dass zur Reinigung des Tempels verwendet wurde. Wärend ihrer Dienstzeit waren die Vestalinnen zu absoluter Keuschheit verpflichtet. Der Verlust der Jungfräulichkeit einer Priesterin galt als schweres Unheil für das römische Gemeinwesen. Eine unkeusche Priesterin wurde aus der Priesterschaft entfernt und lebendig begraben. Please read information about the picture! When one calls a vestal virgin priestess of the goddess Vesta. Sehr schönes Bild und gute Infos auch Elke. Ich gab dem Priester einen guten Anreiz, eine Jungfrau, lebendig begraben wäre nicht gut für die eigene Gesundheit zu bleiben .. Wenn sie Verlust ihrer Jungfräulichkeit hat sie möchte nicht eine Seele erzählen .. hehe Very lovely image and great info also Elke. I certainly gave the priest a good incentive to stay a virgin, being buried alive would not be good for ones health.. If she did loss her virginity she wouldn't want to tell a soul hehe..
