Description
Took this near my home last evening at 2035 hours BST. This balloon landed in a field next to the estate where I live in Chard.
Have a good weekend.

We have a whole bunch of them that leave from near here in the mornings. I think it is only on the really still calm mornings, but they look beautiful with all their burners errrr burning! Great shot.

A superb capture, Jeff. It's spectacular to see those balloons 'flying', huh?! thank you so much for sharing this! btw, Once we had such a big thing in our backyard, we were afraid he would come down between the trees. I will look for the picture, hopefully I find it.

Great capture Jeff and excellent timing!!! Well done. I remember many years ago (in another time), A huge national ballooning event was being held in a showground near where I lived.. I didn't go because we lived VERY close by.. It was...a VERY HOT day.. Now, Hot air ballons don't lift well on VERY hot days do they.. But, they took off anyway, and duly started to come down on the roads, in gardens, on playing fields about 200 yards away from the edge of the ground! It was chaos! But brilliant! LOL Well caught mate! Rob

Spectacular view, from below and above - no doubt, but it looks a bit close for comfort; they usually take off very early in the mornings here in OZ ... fine perspective, Jeff BB

several years ago a doctor died when he lost control and hit high power lines. I would still go for a ride if I had the money to spare
